Objectives
The MBA in International Hotel and Tourism Management combines a
university teaching approach with a professional edge, whose aim
is to train responsible and operational managers in the field
of hotel complexes with a wide range of equipment and facilities
(business, leisure, sports...) pertaining to international companies.
The
aims of the MBA:
To become an operational individual responsible in one of the
areas of tourism.
To become a qualified manager with a capacity of reflection and
analysis
To master the art of receiving by being courteous and attentive to the clients
To become a competent and effective manager adept to evolving
and adapting to the needs of the clientele whilst remaining
attentive to the challenges and benefits that are integral and
rewarding elements of this industry.

Program
organisation
The
program consists of a fixed curriculum of required courses. Course-instruction
in English emphasizes the operational and strategic management tools
required for international hotel and restaurant management and for
the effective management of tourism companies.
The
global program consists of one Foundation/ Preparatory Course followed by
two Academic Semester and a paid internship Semester in France or
abroad.
Internships
The 5-6 month Internship can take place either in France or in any
other country of the world. During the Internship, the student is
provided with free board and lodging and receives a monthly allowance
of approx. 400 to 500 Euros as stipend.

Teaching
Method
The
training is based on interdisciplinary teaching and is the only
one to approach the diversity and the complexity of problems tied to the development of guest accommodation in addition to intergrating
the additional services that are becoming more and more sophisticated
in terms of leisure and business.
Students
are expected to participate actively in every phase of this highly
internationalized and multicultural training program. Course work
compliments practical training, cultural and technical seminars, and
individual or small-group research projects. The teaching staff consists
of upper-level university faculty personnel, expert practitioners,
and professionals from hotel, restaurant and tourism world. Vatel's
teaching personnel strive to attain outrivaled teaching standards
by pushing back the boundries in their respective disciplines.
